My Mission to Become A Millionaire

So You Think You Can Dance - Down to 14 - Spoiler Alert

June 26th, 2008 by Jess

Alright, just finished watching.

I was not surprised that Matt Dorame & Kourtni Lind were in the bottom 3, as I think they were #5 of 8 in the list of dances from last night.
I AM surprised that not only did they send Chelsea Traille home over Kourtni Lind, they didn’t even bother giving her a reason for the decision.  I mean, I know there was a crunch for time, but as a learning dancer, I’m sure she would have loved to know why, and as a viewer, I would have loved to know why as well.

Either way, I’m not surprised about Chris Jarosz going home, and am interested in seeing how Thayne fairs with Comfort next week. :)

All I know is the stronger dancers are definitely standing well apart from the rest of the group, and I’ve definitely developed my favorites. :D

My Pre-Top 14-dance call for who goes home next week:

Matt Dorame & Kourtni Lind

Does anyone sense a pattern here?

I think they’re trying to weed out all the contemporaries they got in this year. Last year wasn’t so heavy on them but this year started out more than half contemporaries and it’s hard for the average viewer to wrap their head around the fact that they’re all different in style…slightly.

Kourtni’s basically given up it looks like, being in the bottom couples again must be really killing her confidence and that’ll easily show through in a performance.

Mia’s opening dance was fantastic, that was performance art, not dance! Mark learned to pop, where’d that come from?! The guys really shone through on this dance.
